Mead’s after school enrichment programs are in full swing. We have several classes returning by popular demand: Piano Keyboard Club; Drama Club, Art Workshop, Spanish (beginning and Intermediate) and Kids Yoga. New to Mead this winter is the Mad Science Club. They have had classes at Mead in the past and are excited to join our line up again. Classes will start the week of January 18 and will go through the first of March. Kids Yoga will offer 2 four week sessions this winter (see registration form for details).

Jump Rope Club - Spring
During these fun-filled classes the children will learn a variety of Jump Rope skills catered to their skill level. Emphasis will be based on learning new Jump Rope skills, finding fun ways to stay healthy through exercise, making friends and having fun! The children will learn skills such as single rope, partner skills, double dutch and long rope. They will play Jump Rope games and learn performance technique through sharing jump rope skills to the class.
WHO: Boys and Girls in Grades K-6th
DATES: All Thursdays in May- 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 5/27
TIME: 3:00-4:15 (Please bring an after school snack to eat between 3:00-3:15)
PLACE: Under cover play area by the gym
COST: $45.00 (includes all 4 classes and a jump rope)

Art Workshop - Spring
JOIN us for a fun spring season of art making! Students explore their own personal expression and creativity through the use of raw, new and used materials, producing both 2 and 3 dimensional projects (see flyer for full details). Dates: 8 Wednesdays, 1:30 – 2:45pm April 21st, 28th, May 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, June 7th, and 8th. Mad Science
At Mad Science our mission is to spark the imagination and curiosity of children everywhere. We do this by providing them with fun, interactive and educational activities that instill a clearer understanding of science and how it affects the world around us. With over 15 years experience we are the experts in spectacular science. Our program is a unique and innovative way to continue the learning process after school. Children may experiment with electricity, learn about lasers, conduct cool chemical reactions, reveal the mysteries of magnetism, and much much more. They will also build awesome take-homes such as rockets, periscopes, and wave modulators! They will have so much fun it is hard to believe that they are actually learning at the same time. Classes are $74.00 per student. Our spring session begins Tuesday, April 6th . Classes filled quickly last session so get your registration form in early to reserve a spot in the class. Mead Winter Spring Drama Club
In the Young Players after-school drama club, kids take a journey into their imaginations. Students develop literacy skills, self-confidence, and creative problem solving abilities and form a greater sense of connection to their world. During every class, students write their own plays and perform skits for each other. Thursdays, April 8th – May 13th from 3:05-4:05 (only a 6 week session this spring), $69 per student.
