Mead’s after school enrichment programs are in full swing. We have several classes returning by popular demand: Piano Keyboard Club; Drama Club, Art Workshop, Spanish (beginning and Intermediate) and Kids Yoga. New to Mead this winter is the Mad Science Club. They have had classes at Mead in the past and are excited to join our line up again. Classes will start the week of January 18 and will go through the first of March. Kids Yoga will offer 2 four week sessions this winter (see registration form for details).

Musical Minds Piano Keyboard Club
"Musical Minds gives kids an opportunity to learn practical piano skills as well as the foundations of music through fun and current popular songs. Kids get to learn their favorite radio tunes as well as movie and TV themes while learning to read sheet music as well as proper piano technique." Art Workshop
JOIN us for a fun winter season of art making! 8 Wednesdays, 1:30 – 2:45 pm Jan 20, 27 Feb 3, 17, 24 March 3, 10, 17 Students explore their own personal expression and creativity through the use of raw, new and used materials, producing both 2 and 3 dimensional projects. This session we are offering a free tuition by lottery for a student who is interested in art and may be experiencing a family hardship. Classes are $100 per student ($85 for class, $15 materials). Our mission is to keep art FUN and INSPIRE your child to explore their creative talents!

Mad Science
At Mad Science our mission is to spark the imagination and curiosity of children everywhere. We do this by providing them with fun, interactive and educational activities that instill a clearer understanding of science and how it affects the world around us. With over 15 years experience we are the experts in spectacular science. Our program is a unique and innovative way to continue the learning process after school. Children may experiment with electricity, learn about lasers, conduct cool chemical reactions, reveal the mysteries of magnetism, and much much more. They will also build awesome take-homes such as rockets, periscopes, and wave modulators! They will have so much fun it is hard to believe that they are actually learning at the same time. Classes are $74.00 per student.

Mead Winter Drama Club
In the Young Players after-school drama club, kids take a journey into their imaginations. Students develop literacy skills, self-confidence, and creative problem solving abilities and form a greater sense of connection to their world. During every class, students write their own plays and perform skits for each other. Thursdays, January 21-March 18 from 3:05-4:05 p.m, $79 per student. Flyers coming home 1/4/10! Yoga Kids
Join Mead mum, Susan Giese for an introduction to the calming world of yoga. Children will practice poses tohelp with balancing, strengthening, breath awareness and relaxing. Two 4 week winter sessions will be held: Session A, Wednesday January 20– February 10; and Session B, Wednesday February 17–March 10. Each session will cost $40.00. Spanish Classes - Beginning and Intermediate!
Mead Mom’s Ms. Heidi and Senior Augtina are continuing their Spanish class by popular demand. Beginning Spanish for 3-6 graders will be held on Friday’s starting January 22-April 16. Intermediate Spanish for 3-6 graders will be held on Friday’s starting January 22– April 22. And Intermediate Spanish for k-2 will be held on Wednesday’s starting January 20–April 14. All classes are $100!
