 Open Chair PositionsDuties FallWinterSpring
Sock Hop/Jamboree Organize the annual Sock-Hop/Jamboree! No No Yes

Here are some other volunteer opportunities (not chair positions) where we'd love it if you could help out from time to time:

  • Health Room
    • Want to help children with bumps and bruises in the Health Room?   We need volunteers to apply bandaids and/or ice packs to owies.
Times are  M, T, Th, Fri 10-12 or 12-2:15 and Wed.  11-1:15.  If you are interested please contact Michelle Breecher at breecher2000@yahoo.com.
  • Hot Lunch
    • If you would like to have a fun and social volunteer opportunity join the Hot Lunch Volunteers! We still need 6-7 parents to help on a weekly or bi-weekly basis for 70 minutes a week (11:20 am-12:30 pm). Wednesday is covered; all other days still have slots available! This is a great way to get to know a lot of our Mead kids! If you have any questions please contact Petra per e-mail: petrarjohnson@comcast.net . Thank you!

  • Production Volunteers
    • This job takes place in the copier and supply room next to the Mead Library. You can come in anytime during the school day and could do any of the following: coping, collating, binding, tracing and cutting or, for those who have been trained, lamination. All projects are located in a box named "Production". *DIFFERENT THIS YEAR* IA's who have taken care of some of the teacher's projects in the past will be asked to help more in the classroom with the kids so Production should be very busy this year. If you would like to help with Production but don't know about all the equipment I would be happy to walk you through it. Contact birgit.jansen@live.com for more information.

  • Safe Arrival
    • Safe Arrival is where a volunteer calls to make sure that kids who are marked absent but not yet reported by a parent/guardian are safe and their whereabouts are known. You would be reporting to Carol Wade in the Mead Office at 9:30 in the morning. This is a great volunteer opportunity and very helpful for the busy office staff. Contact holly@phillfam.com for more information.
  • Hearing & Vision
    • Monday, October 10th is Mead's Hearing and Vision Screening.  We need many volunteers to screen all the kids in one day.
Shifts are: 8:10-2:30, 8:10-12:00 or 12:30-2:30.   No experience needed - we will train you.  Lunch is provided - mmmm.
Please contact Michelle Breecher at breecher2000@yahoo.com if you are interested or have questions.
