Accelerated Math: We need help in keeping this system implemented at every grade level.

Albertson's/Campbell's/Box Tops: Promoting programs, cutting labels, etc. for rewards for using their products.

Art Gallery Night: Fun evening of arts & crafts for families. Assists with set up, help with art projects, and clean up.

Art Docent: Art appreciation program (Art Start) presented by parents in classrooms. Keeps track of art supplies in cabinets and offers support to parents with lessons.

Back to School Event: Welcome Back pasta or BBQ or something to bring all of Mead together for a social evening of food and visiting. Need someone to coordinate food, set up, clean up and volunteers.

Gardening Committee: Clean up flower beds & make our school look better. Come get your hands dirty and be a part of a great team!

Gift Shoppe: Fun shopping store for kids for ALL occasions. Organize and help run store. Work with vendor, inventory gift displays, set up & price, cashier, etc.

Health Room: Assist the office staff with students, caring for the kids who are “under the weather” or injured (M,T,Th,F 12 - 2:15; Wed 12:00 to 1:15)

Health Screening: Assist the school nurse in testing students’ vision, hearing and Scoilosis.

Hospitality: Coordinate volunteers for baked goods for PTSA events and helping with Staff Appreciation Chair.

Jamboree/Sock Hop: Our famous carnival, fun for kids and adults. Requires lot of volunteers to set up, clean up, food, games, prizes  done in the spring.

Kids Café: Assist students with hot lunch program in gym & help clean up between shifts (11:30 am – 1 pm). Need 2 parents every day.

New Book Fair/BOGO:  Benefits school library – pre-organized with the book dealer to provide the latest children’s books for sale, help set up and cashier.

Recycle Program: Promote our ink & cell phone recycle program and coordinate contest - also look for other ways to recycle.

Reflections: National PTA Art Program. Promote, coordinate, set up display & arrange judging of student artwork. Submit top entries to the Council level for advance competition in the fall.

Running Club: Coordinate all grade levels in organized runs around the school - help plan awards/parties to celebrate milestones by the students.

Safety/Emergency Prep: Assist with determining safety issues, including traffic at Mead. Also includes keeping track of emergency prep container items.
