October 2009:  Thank you to all who participated in our PACE Fundraiser!  We currently have 210 members supporting our school with their everyday spending.  As you start visiting the PACE participating businesses, you will save money! 

 

PACE has raised $14,959 for Mead since we began this program in 2008.

 

So far we've raised $2,130 with PACE this school year and this will continue to grow as the 5% donations from the businesses start growing!  Don't forget to visit SIP, La Casita, La Costa, Rancho Grande, and Quiznos!  You save 20% in the form of a monthly rebate check (on your first visit to each business) and the school gets 5%. 

 

And don't forget!  If your card has expired, you must login to your account and update your card in order to receive the benefits!

Here’s what you can do:If you haven’t signed up, please join now at www.4PACE.com - it couldn’t be easier!

1. Register Online: Register any Visa or MasterCard at www.4PACE.com and $10 of the $25 membership goes to our school.
2. Shop and Save: You save 20% on your first visit at hundreds of stores and restaurants.
3. School Earns 5%: Our school earns 5% of every purchase you make!
4.  If you have already joined Pace last year, your membership will be automatically renewed. You should receive an email verifying this procedure. 

If you are already a PACE member, please encourage family or friends to become members there are 8 “cards” included with the flyer. Please tear these off and pass them out to anyone you can think of. With your support, we can increase our program by thousands of dollars this year.

What is PACE?
the one and only fund raiser that will be promoted this year. By shopping at local businesses, you can save money each time you visit AND raise money for our school. There are no coupons, books or ID cards to deal with. Simply register online and you will receive a monthly rebate check when you visit participating merchants (ACE, Cold Stone, Sips, Molbaks,
Great Clips and hundreds more, with more being added all the time! ) and Mead will receive a percentage too! It’s similar to any top notch credit card reward program! Here’s how it works:

1. Register any Visa or MasterCard at www.4pace.com and Mead receives $10 of the $25 membership fee.

2. Save 20% on your first purchase at each & every participating merchant when paying with your registered card. Your savings are seamless and automatic!

3. Mead automatically earns 5% of every purchase you make at participating businesses

Frequently Asked Questions

Is registration safe?

· PACE is VISA and MasterCard certified.

· PACE meets all industry standards for security and privacy.

· Our website communications are secured using standard SSL protocol, the same technology used by banks to protect online banking activity.

Do you sell our information?

· PACE does not sell, lease or rent personally identifiable information provided by you when you register.

What types of cards are accepted?

· Currently you can register any Visa or MasterCard.

Can you register a debit card?

· Yes… however you need to make signature based transactions with your debit card in order for those transactions to qualify. If you use your PIN number when transacting at PACE businesses the transaction will not be tracked for school and member rewards. So remember, to run your debit card as a "credit transaction" which requires your signature.

Can you register multiple cards?

· You can register up to 4 credit cards under one membership but you will only receive the 20% discount on your first visit to each business, regardless of which registered card is used.

· Where do I do this? While you are logged into your account, choose the "My Account" tab. On the drop down menu, choose "Update My Credit Cards".

Can you register your Alaska Airlines Visa or other current reward cards?

· The program can co-exist with other existing rewards programs, such as Alaska Airlines Miles.

Do all of my children receive the "NASA Earthball" prize if I register?

· Yes, after completing your registration, there will be a prompt for you to enter your child(ren)'s name if you would like for them to receive the prize.

How do I know if my child(ren) earned a prize?

· Once logged into your PACE account, choose the "Prize Program" option on the "My Account" tab. You will be able to see your child(ren)'s names with a number next to it. The number indicates how many registrations they have earned for their school. A 1 or a 2 would earn the child the "Earthball". A 3 or more next to the students name allows the child to receive the "Earthball" AND choose from 1 of the 5 prizes for having registered at least 3 PACE members.

How does my child receive their prize(s)?

· Your child will receive their prize(s) directly from the school. The PACE chairperson will have access to a "Master List" and distribute the prizes accordingly.

When do I receive my Cash Back Award Check (20% Savings)?

· Your savings over the course of a month are processed around the third week of the following month. This is when the activity will appear on your statement. Shortly following, you will receive your Cash Back Award Check in the mail. This is your savings and is your money to deposit.

How can I track my activity?

· When registering you will choose a login and password. You can access your account at any time at www.4pace.com.

What if I don't see my transaction?

· Currently account information is processed and updated around the third week of the following month. Eventually this will be updated weekly.

· If you do not see a transaction from the previous month once the data has uploaded (about the 3rd week of the following month), please contact PACE via the "Contact Us" link on the "About Us" Tab at customerservice@joinpace.org. It is helpful to include as much information about the missing transaction as possible.

How long is my membership for?

· Memberships are active for one full year from registration.

Do you automatically renew my membership next year?

· Memberships will automatically renew. Members will be notified 30 days in advance and have the opportunity to opt out. Along with the membership renewal, members will once again receive the 20% discount at all of our participating businesses, and the school will receive $10 of the $25 renewal registration fee.

Is there a maximum discount earned?

· The 20% savings is capped at $100. For example, 20% of $500 is $100 in savings. Any purchase greater than $500, would provide a max of $100 in savings to the member.

Is the 20% savings after tax and tip at restaurants?

· Yes. The 20% is calculated after tax and tip is deducted.

How does the school collect their money?

· Once a month, the school is sent a check totaling the amount of its members’ monthly activity. This includes the registration amount, as well as the usage. The check will represent the member’s activity from the previous month.

Is there a maximum donation earned per transaction?

· The 5% donation by the business is capped at $100 donation per transaction. For example, 5% of $2,000 is $100. Any single transaction greater than $2,000, would provide a max of $100 in donation to the school.

What is Pass the Hat?

 

Allows parents to simply write a check and be done with fundraising.  This is an ongoing program.  You can contribute throughout the year! 

 

It’s a way to financially support Mead’s PTSA without going door to door selling or solicitation.  You write a check and you are done!

 

Our Goal for Pass the Hat is $12,000!

  

Suggested donation per child is $30.  If you can afford more, amazing!  If not, please give what you can.

In order to continue the amazing programs the PTSA offers, parental support is crucial.  It is YOUR continued involvement year after year that allows the PTSA sponsored programs to continue.  Hence, supplementing our children’s education and supporting the needs of the teachers and staff.  Your support makes Mead the unique school it is!
